March 2012: OA founder Lisa Lovatt-Smith to be honored at the 3rd Annual FACE Africa Gala   

FACE Africa is pleased to announce that the 2012 Gala Honoree for the 3rd Annual Clean Water Benefit Gala is Lisa Lovatt-Smith, founder of OrphanAid Africa. Ms. Lovatt-Smith will be honored with the "FACE Africa Humanitarian Award" for her dedication and substantial efforts at improving the quality of life for people of Africa and beyond. The evening will be hosted by interviewer and presenter Quddus and the Gala host committee includes Whitney Port, Oluchi Orlandi, Ashley Bush, long-time FACE Africa supporter Dikembe Mutombo, Claudia Chan, Lauren States, and Jacqueline Adams. "We are delighted to host our 3rd Annual Gala on United Nations World Water Day and excited about our New York debut. We continue to be humbled by the growing support for this event," stated Saran Kaba Jones, founder and executive director of FACE Africa. 

FACE Africa, a Boston, MA-based nonprofit organization dedicated to providing access to clean drinking water and empowering women in rural Liberia, will host its third annual Cean Water Benefit Gala on Thursday, March 22nd at the St. Regis New York. The evening will feature a cocktail reception, dinner, art auction and entertainment. Funds raised at this year's event will support a new initiative to provide access to clean water and sanitation facilities to the entire county of Rvercess, one of the poorest and least developed counties in Liberia.
